Over the past month, I’ve been encouraging two friends of mine to blog about some personal experiences they’ve been going through. I told them that it might help them as they deal with the issues. They both politely declined. 🙂 I can’t blame them. I wasn’t pushing – I love writing and simply thought they might benefit.
But then I realized / remembered that I have this blog. That while I’m here telling people all about the benefits of blogging, I haven’t written anything for in…..well, I couldn’t even remember the last time I wrote. Checked it out and it was December 2014. And before that, the last post was February 2014. I blogged quite a lot during January 2014 – mostly because I was part of a group called My 500 Words and we took a New Year’s challenge to write 500 words every day for 30 days. I just re-read some of those posts, and wondered why I haven’t kept up. I guess I can chalk it up to the fact that I haven’t taken it seriously enough.
I love writing. It’s not that I haven’t written anything since December 2014 – I have. I’m communication director for my church, so I’m always writing and blogging for our website (shameless plug: www.metrosda.org/blog.html). But I have used that as an excuse to not focus on my own writing.
So here goes. January 9 – I’m making a resolution to post at least twice a week to my blog. Let’s see how this goes! 🙂
